Our History.

Our roots date back to 1959 when Karl Landgrebe founded the company KLN in Niedenstein near Kassel, Germany.

From the beginning, KLN focused on supplying manufacturers of military vehicles as well as the Germen Armed Forces and its allies with reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions. Over the years, the company evolved into a leading manufacturer and refurbishment provider for components and systems of military vehicles.

As a complement to KLN’s activities, JOWA Fahrzeugteile Vertriebs GmbH was founded in 1986. Since then, JOWA and KLN have produced and overhauled a wide range of components and systems for leading land system platforms such as the Leopard 2 tank, the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer, and the M113 armored personnel carrier.

In 2023, JOWA and KLN were acquired by Volkmar Noeske as part of a succession solution.

Our Manufacturing Certifications.

We are certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 and familiar with manufacturing processes according to AQAP 2130/2131.

Furthermore, we are proud to have obtained extensive special approvals for the production of defense-related assemblies, especially in the field of running gear components, for welding work in the areas of armored steel, steel, cast iron, and aluminum including DIN 2303 Q1, Q2 + Q3 and ISO 3834-2, as well as painting approvals.

JOWA is registered with the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) under manufacturer number C7574, and KLN is registered under manufacturer number C4536.
